The coffee is nice and strong here! I got the 1987 which was delicious, I love a strong coffee, not too sweet, and good salted foam. My boyfriend got the 18 to the dome and that was super strong I think it could've used a touch more condensed milk, but nonetheless it was good coffee.
Great customer service. Staff is always nice. You can also order at this kiosk near the entrance. The food is always amazing. The longonisa breakfast sandwich is also good! The atmosphere there is very chill and it's my family and I's go to spot on Sunday for breakfast. Also, did I mention the coffee is amazing too?! Love the ube iced latte and the hazelnut Vietnamese iced coffee.
Strawberry Matcha: 8.5/10 * The matcha is amazing--perfect color and high quality. * Sweetened with vanilla is my go-to recommendation. * The strawberry matcha is a bit disappointing--more like matcha with a teaspoon of strawberry jam. You can barely taste the strawberry, which doesn't justify the name. As a Student: * Not ideal for studying--it's super loud. * Outlets are hard to reach; you practically have to crawl to plug in your charger. * Pros: fast WiFi and plenty of parking.
I recently visited 18 Grams Coffee for brunch with friends, and it was a delightful experience overall. The drink selection was impressive, with something for everyone. I opted for the strawberry matcha, which was fantastic--the matcha was clearly high quality, and the strawberry purée added a burst of fruity flavor. My friend tried the ube latte, which they raved about, and we all appreciated the creativity behind their offerings. For food, I had the chilaquiles with salsa verde. The dish was well-balanced, with just the right amount of spice to keep it flavorful without being overwhelming. My friends got the loco moco, which was hearty and satisfying, and we shared the ube french toast. The french toast was the highlight--a perfect blend of sweetness with whipped ube cream and fresh fruit that elevated the dish. The only downside was the service model. It's self-order with a pickup window, which is fine, but it was a bit inconvenient when we finished our meal. The employees were standing around while we struggled to figure out where to place our used plates. Despite the minor hiccup with service, the food and drinks were exceptional. I'll definitely be returning to explore more of their menu!
18 Grams continues to be one of my favorite coffee shops in the Arden area. It's located in the Howe Bout Arden plaza, near the movie theater and they serve up amazing coffee and food. On my latest visit, I met up with a colleague for coffee and breakfast before heading out to an event. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is always clean and bright, even on rainy days like my last visit. We opted for their seasonal Christmas in 87 and it was a great holiday version of my favorite 1987 drink. I ordered their lox bagel on an everything bagel and my friend got the egg breakfast sando. They were both great, especially with the coffee. They have plenty of seating inside, for various group sizes, and they do have wifi for customers. During the warmer months they also have tables outside as well. Keep an eye on their social media for specials and deals. I love that they have some fun offers and I've taken advantage of some of their deals more than once.
18 Grams Coffee Roasters...what a heaven sent! Opening at 8a, we walked into such a cozy and inviting atmosphere with a super fun breakfast menu, deliciously unique drink menu awaiting, and staff with full smiles. While the weather was not favorable, the vibes were still high inside. I ordered the Christmas in 87 and Breakfast Sando ~ I love holiday drinks and this specific one tasted like an iced cold and refreshing liquid peppermint candy cane! Smooth and strong, it did just the trick for a fun Saturday ahead. The Breakfast Sando was so yummy as well ~ perfectly cooked (and a hearty helping I must say) of smooth eggs folded into warm and oozing cheese, sandwiched between two freshly warm buns..chef's kiss! If I'm ever in the area again, no doubt this will be apart of one of my stops. The regular coffee/tea menu looked awesome as well as other instagrammable breakfast/brunch items. Thank you for kicking off the liquid holidays in an enjoyable and picturesque way! Tucked away in a shopping center, plenty of parking and lotsa indoor space ~ not too bad on the wallet for the value received.
Our first time at this coffee house. The house coffee wasn't much to promote but the menu offered plenty more, traditional and international options. The front counter and kitched were well staffed. Not much of a wait for food and drink. The space is open and comfortable. Due to its popularity seating was limited. Specialty drinks were tasty and the foods I took pictures of were flavorul. We'll definitely be back for more.
My partner and I were so excited to try this local business. We often visited businesses around but this one in particular was on our next list. When we arrived, the place was booming with people inside and out! (This is how you know there's a high chance the food and coffee will be bomb). Presentation of the place was so clean in and out. I first approached with an order for the Strawberry Matcha, but they were unfortunately out of all matcha. That's ok! Sea Salt Iced Coffee a little on the sweeter side. Bomb! My partner ordered an Ube Iced Latte. When he first took a sip- total confusion because why is it purple but tastes like straight coffee? *he mixed it a little* "Ohhhh okay, I see I see." Anyway, he finished his drink in about ten minutes. So good! As for the food, nothing but compliments to the chef! Beautiful presentation. Sisig, great portion, pork was crispy and perfect amount of tart. Breakfast skillet, perfectly cooked. Amazing!!
18 Grams is an Asian owned business serving up amazing Asian and Latin inspired brunch and coffee drinks! I've visited a couple times now, and I'm a huge fan of every drink I've had. I recently ordered the butter beer cold brew (seasonal special), and it packed a bold coffee flavor with subtle notes of butterscotch. Every drink has crushed ice, which I prefer as someone that always orders light ice. I've noticed that seasonal specials rotate often, even as frequently as every week, so I'm always interested in trying what's new and limited time only. This week, I ordered the chicken adobo tacos. The special came with three tacos stuffed with meat and topped with pickled onions. It also came with a dipping sauce, similar to consume that you'd get with birria. The tacos weren't greasy, and I loved the adobo dip! It was the perfect bite. 18 Grams has counter service, and inside feels laidback and chill. I came on a Friday afternoon and noticed a lot of solo diners set up to either work from home or study. It can feel crowded at times, which just speaks to 18 Grams' popularity!
